04 Oct October
So October is finally here and last week I started my classes at the Composition University. It’s really intense, since I have a lot of assignments and I have to pick up the pace. I will be working at a new haiku that my professor shared:
you will listen to me
looking me in the face
staring into the eyes
I find this haiku incredibly romantic. These words resonate so much and remind me of a song that I deeply cherish: After the Storm by Mumford and Sons. A find a resemblance in these lyrics:
And there will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears
and love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears
get over your hill and see what you find there
with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair
I find all those words somehow related to the pursuit of a fair love; the moment when you finally realise that not all relationships are healthy and when you accept to be alone instead of being together with someone that doesn’t “look you in the face”. This has been a strong turning point in my life, and I have been doing a beautiful journey before feeling ready to have a well-balanced relationship.
So, it’s time to roll up my sleeves and describe all of this in 2-ish minutes music! 😉
