Hi everyone!

It’s been almost a month since my last post – this last few weeks have been hectic!

I’m currently taking the final exams of the first year (3 left to go) and at the same time I received an astonishing job proposal: Breaking Games listened to my Rise Of Tribes score and they asked me to make a complete soundtrack. I was super happy and deeply honoured to do it, so I completed the work adding 3 more songs and refining the old ones. You will be able to listen to the entire score on Spotify soon and I can’t wait to share it!

I also decided to take jazz harmony classes so I’m experimenting and studying a lot to expand my knowledge about it and I’m having a lot of fun with chords substitutions and analysis of well-known jazz standards.

Today I would love to share with you my Film scoring exam: our teacher gave us two haiku and I chose this one:

E’ l’attesa notte di luna
ombre di pini
sul pavimento di foglie

That can be translated in something like this:

It’s the long-awaited moonlight night
pines’ shadows
on the leaves’ floor

I asked my partner to help me bringing out some ideas – I’m quite terrible at creating images from scratch.
He came up with a terrific scene that I was crazy about:

A man is parking his car into the woods. He lights up a cigarette and begins to walk into the forest, taking off his jacket. He keeps walking and smoking and taking off his clothes, and he is getting faster; he runs through the trees until he is naked: we see him smiling and looking at the moon, and we realise he’s going to turn himself into a werewolf.

I fell in love with the scene immediately, and I began to work on it right away; I tried different instruments and patterns, but at the end I felt very satisfied with what I created:

See you soon with new stuff!
