My first soundtrack

My first soundtrack

I met Gonzalo a couple of years ago, at a gaming night. After a few months he came to my place to offer me my first job as a composer: he wanted a song for his new kickstarter campaign’s trailer. The board game was called Tang Garden.

So my first reaction was: “I don’t know, I don’t have the skills nor the tools for this job, I’ve never made anything like this in my life and I’m not sure I can deliver”, but he was so sure and passionate that I ended up saying “ok, let’s try this”. I didn’t know anything about temp music, so the very first thing to do was to make something very similar in terms of vibes and a bit different in terms of music; I was very worried, but at the end the song sounded ok. Another thing that was completely new for me was that I had to be extremely accurate with the volumes, as there would be a speaking voice at the beginning of the trailer.

So this is the final result of the trailer:

Little did I know that this board game was just the beginning…!
